relieve stress with exercise
relieve stress, gain resilience
Personal training to help you handle the pressure you’re already under, not add to it. Working with me isn’t designed to punish you. It’s proper strength and conditioning work, structured around your week, that gives your body and your head somewhere to put everything you’re carrying. In-person or remotely, I can help you to relieve stress with exercise.
relieve stress with exercise
for natural feel-good endorphins
- You’ve got a stressful job and dependents that rely on you.
- You’re not sleeping brilliantly. You’re short with people who don’t deserve it.
- You know you that doing exercise will help, but it’s one more thing on an already full list.
I’ve got a client who used to be exactly there…

Hello, I’m Steve…
“I’m a bit older, a bit wiser, and counselling clients isn’t technically part of the job description, but it happens a lot in my sessions. I’m honest and upfront with everyone I train. My job isn’t to tell you what you want to hear. My job is to tell you what you need to hear. Clients respect that, even when it stings”

Simon’s Stress-Busting Transformation

- Early to mid forties
- Typical ‘dad bod’
- Works in corporate finance
Simon spends half his week wining and dining clients in London. He comes to me a couple of times a week, and his whole physique has changed. There’s a mental side to it as well. He’s told me straight
“If I don’t come and train with you a couple of times a week, I’m not the same person; I can’t deal with stress otherwise…”
Because Simon has a stressful job and busy family home life, he manages and copes with stress better after a tough session. It levels him out…

Two sessions per week: Two sessions a week is typically where you’ll feel the shift, built around proper strength work rather than endless cardio.
A hard reset: We track the data that matters so you can see, in black and white, what’s changing, and every session gives you a hard reset before you go back into whatever’s waiting for you at home or at work.

This is for you if…
- Busy professionals under life pressure,
- Parents managing a house full of demands
- Anyone who has noticed that a stressful week feels manageable after they’ve trained.
If exercise has become the thing that helps you cope rather than the thing you never get round to, this is built for you…

FAQ
Does exercise really relieve stress?
Yes, and not just in theory. Simon manages and copes with his stress a hell of a lot better after a tough session. It’s not a coincidence. A proper session gives your body somewhere to put the tension a stressful job and a busy home life build up, and it clears your head in a way that scrolling on the sofa never does.
What type of exercise is best to relieve stress?
Strength and conditioning work, done properly, tends to beat low-effort cardio for this. It demands your full attention for the hour, which forces your brain off whatever’s stressing you out, and the physical fatigue afterwards genuinely levels you out, rather than just being a distraction.
How often should I train to relieve stress with exercise?
A couple of sessions a week is generally where clients start to notice the shift, both in how they’re sleeping and how they’re handling pressure day to day. Simon trains a couple of times a week and says plainly that he’s not the same person without it.
Can personal training help with work-related stress specifically?
Yes. I’m not a therapist, and I won’t pretend to be one, but counselling clients through what’s going on happens a lot in my sessions. It isn’t part of the job description, but life experience means clients get a fair bit more than just a workout for their time with me.
How quickly will I feel less stressed after starting?
Most people feel the immediate effect, the “reset”, after the very first tough session. The longer-term change, better sleep, more patience, handling pressure without it tipping you over, tends to build over the first few weeks of consistent training.
